National Highways Sector Scheme 12 Traffic Safety & Control Officer (TSCO)

Who should attend:

Selected candidates who will be required by their employer to work on motorways and or high-speed dual carriageways as a Traffic Safety and Control Officer (TSCO)

The aim of this course: is to provide candidates with the necessary knowledge to enable them to carry out the roll of the Traffic Safety and Control Officer on temporary traffic management measures on the Network.

Course Objectives:

On completion of this course learners will be able to demonstrate that they have:

  • A minimum satisfactory level of knowledge of the TSCO role
  • A comprehensive awareness of the TSCO’s responsibilities
  • A detailed level of knowledge of Temporary Traffic Management standards.

Certification/Registration:

  • Registered 12 TSCO will receive a Traffic Safety & Control Officer registration card valid for 5 years.
  • Candidates who are not registered as 12b LTMO & 12a Foreman will receive a certificate which is valid for 2 years.
